We will screen the historical epic PALESTINE 36 as a preview ahead of its nationwide theatrical release, followed by a panel discussion with Dr. Sarah El Bulbeisi, a cultural studies scholar and senior lecturer at the Institute for the Near and Middle East at LMU Munich, and Prof. Dr. Stefan Jakob Wimmer, chairman of the Society of Friends of Abraham, moderated by democracy scholar, journalist, and war correspondent Sophia Maier.

About

1936\. As villages across Palestine rise against British colonial rule, Yusuf drifts between his rural home and the restless energy of Jerusalem, longing for a future beyond the growing unrest.
