Over the course of three years, the documentary follows whistleblowers and their supporters as they navigate the tension between exposing the truth and facing persecution. Three courageous individuals in Africa, Europe, and the U.S. put their lives, careers, and families at risk to reveal information that is being kept from the public purely for the sake of power. We are screening WHISTLEBLOWER as a preview ahead of its nationwide theatrical release, followed by a discussion with journalists **Frederik Obermaier** and **Bastian Obermayer**, moderated by Margarete Bause (_Transparency International_).

In 2026, Bayreuth will be the site of a major anniversary: the Festival will celebrate its 150th anniversary. An occasion that will also make history in terms of its program. On July 26, 2026, Richard Wagner’s operatic triumph RIENZI will be performed for the very first time—and exclusively during the anniversary year of 2026—on the stage of the Bayreuth Festival Theatre, with a delayed broadcast to cinemas. The new production by Alexandra Szemerédy and Magdolna Parditka is under the musical direction of Nathalie Stutzmann. A celebration for all Wagner lovers—right there in the theater, with no waiting list.

The cinema broadcast will air with a two-hour delay relative to the performance at the Festspielhaus and will include two half-hour intermissions, during which a cinema-exclusive accompanying program (approx. 10 min. at the end of each intermission) will be shown.

It's time to take a closer look at them: in his live lecture Brutal Fragile Guys, Ole Liebl gets to the bottom of men and their feelings. What does the inability to feel have to do with anti-feminist radicalization on the internet? What are we overlooking when we assume that men have fewer feelings than women? How can you recognize toxic progressive men? Why are macho guys so often melancholic? How are women and queer people emotionally exploited? And what does Spider-Man have to do with all this?
